ACB prepone Shpageeza Cricket League to keep away from IPL conflict

Nazim Zar Abdulrahimzai, Afghanistan Cricket Board’s interim chief govt, on Friday (August 14), stated that they’ve rescheduled the upcoming version of the Shpageeza Cricket League with a purpose to accommodate the Indian Premier League 2020.

The event will now begin on September 6 with the ultimate anticipated to be performed on September 18. Earlier, the board had introduced that the seventh version of the event will begin from September 13, with the ultimate scheduled to be performed on September 26.

Cricbuzz understands that ACB opted to vary the date of their home T20 event after it clashed with the IPL, which is scheduled to start out from September 19. The choice was taken largely resulting from the truth that the board wished their key gamers – Rashid Khan, Mujeeb ur Rehman and Mohammad Nabi – to function within the Shpageeza T20 League.

”Sure, now we have rescheduled the Shpageeza T20 and now it would begin from September 6,” Zar Abdulrahimzai confirmed. ”We predict to get Mujeeb, Nabi and Rashid at that time of time [to play in the Shpageeza T20],” he added.

The event has six groups – Amo Sharks, Band-e Amir Dragons, Enhance Defenders, Kabul Eagles, Mis Ainak Knights and Spin Ghar Tigers. Mis Ainak Knights gained the event final yr.
